Jyotish Vidya

Jyotish Vidya is about learning the function of the astral plane for the earth plane..... astral world means the asterism above which is visible completely in the sky and it consists of aster/stars in the sky.....

main 9 stars (gruhas) are in the 7+2 arrangement; 7 main stars and 2 shadow stars and their function is simple to learn.....
1. sun gives light & heat to everything
2. moon is a coolant provider
3. mars gives shape to everything
4. venus fills color & beauty in everything
5. mercury retains the memory & intelligence of the seed
6. jupiter provides expansion to everything
7. saturn keeps everything within law & order
8. rahu (north node) is desire to act & achieve
9. ketu (south node) is the end of desire & is to attain liberation
e.g.:
the seed germinates with-
- the power of the moon,
- it grows in the sunlight,
- it retains its memory with mercury (mango seed gives mango),
- it receives its beautyfull colors from venus,
- it expands to be a fruit tree thru' jupiter,
- it remains in the limit because of saturn,
- it grows with the desire from rahu, and,
- it ends once the desire is over
choice of achievement of desires and to liberate is freely given in the hands of humans.....
